My themes have been gone for a very long time now… But if you know the name of the theme you like then I could probably search it out for you.
Are you asking my opinion on opinions? Haha. Hmm, well I think that they’re just that: opinions. For me everything is just a matter of opinion or preference or whatever you want to call it. That’s really how everyone works. We make decisions based on what we think about things. And we decide how we feel about things. I think opinions can be extremely irrelevant and I think that at their core, they really are. I mean, things exist. Something exists. People exist. A singular person exists. An idea exists. That’s totally one sided. Then people come along and form opinions on them. The original thing isn’t changed in any way shape or form. It still is. If you love or dislike, loathe and think someone is horrid, it doesn’t make them so. Your opinion sits there for you only, it doesn’t attach itself to the person. People can voice there opinions all they want, and I think a voice is what makes opinions opinions. In your head it’s just a thought but if you let it out of your mouth or into word, it becomes an opinion. And really, if someone has an opinion on something, I would expect them to argue them and stand by them no matter what. People can change opinions, sure, but I think for the most part they’re pretty concrete and I wouldn’t expect anything else. People may see other people arguing their opinion until they’re blue in the face and see that as a negative thing. They may see that as pride or the need to be right but if you think something and think your stance is right, then you think your stance is right. Simple as that. I generally like to avoid getting offended over opinions. If I don’t agree, I don’t agree, if it’s an opinion that should be offensive, I brush it off because it doesn’t really mean anything other than that person thinks that. Sure, having someone think something about you can be a bit unnerving, but in the end, I find myself not caring. People can think whatever they like about something— good or bad. That’s really all there is too it, I think.
Mmmm I know that feeling aha. I kind of feel like… everyone does it sometimes. Some more than others, sure but I find myself doing it as well. Sometimes we just blurt out things without thinking about other people. Especially when it comes to opinions. For me, though, I just try to ignore it. The only way we can let something bother us is if we let it. Words enter your ears no matter what, but they can fly right out the other side if you choose to not care. I’ve just accepted that some people just say things and that’s their personality so I’m not going to waste emotions getting upset each time. You could also censor yourself and maybe not say things that you know they will have something negative to say about, but I don’t really know if that’s the best idea for people you’d like to be close with. And there’s always that one person that will listen without saying much and that’s nice. People who share the same opinions are easy to manage…
I remember in gradeschool we took a trip and it was a far way so we had to go early in the morning. The bus ride there was long but I didn’t care because I looked out the window the whole time. I remember half way through the trip, the sun started coming up on one side of the bus and I remember being so fascinated that I could look to one side and see blues and dashes of purples yet look out the other side and see pitch black still. I got to watch the sun come up all the way and meet the other side. I really liked that. It’s really nice to look at the sky like that. Although, now if I’m awake long enough to see the sun it’s bittersweet and I get angry at myself.
